La Vita Es Bella...and very hot.

Well, I managed  to do just enough schoolwork to ensure I won't be screwed in the week ahead. I took a really long bath in the lounge (no need to contemplate the number of girls who've probably used that tub...okay, ewww, stop), read a book for FUN (I Am The Messenger by Markus Zusak comes highly recommended by me...kind of an adult and Australian version of Jerry Spinelli, if that means anything to you), had a little crisis but got by with a little help from my friends (and Cassie's BRILLIANT idea of making cookies with Josh and Aly), ate some guacamole and was introduced to Borges at Latin night, got to Skype with some lovely people back in the States (still excited...still stalking your Facebook page/blog for updates :P), slept in TWICE and STILL took naps, went to the beach and made a sancastle/pyramid complete with moat, watchtower, and sand camel with Emily and Rafa, finally saw Fantastic Mr. Fox with Yannick, watched a documentary on Norman Finklestein, started taking video around Abu Dhabi for my final Translation project, ate fresh saj (flatbread) and cheese and chilled at the park with Tom...
So yeah. Incoming freshman, NYUAD is what you make of it. Stressful times, but that's college in general. The powers that be are not joking when they say you have to learn good time-management skills...but thankfully, that means learning to give yourself time for relaxing as well. :)
