Happy Australia Day!
First day of classes...glad to be back. I had one class on globalization followed by three hours of US history from a global perspective, which will normally be followed by two hours of reviewing cases for Government and Religion. Yikes....a little too much repetitive philosophizing for one day. I think I may have to rearrange my schedule a bit for my less stressed semester to survive. After class, Tom and I started carrying out our mission to stress less and explore more with a walk to a local bookstore (I always meant to go but never got around to it) and some exploration of our school library. Amazing how many great books and films we have that I never took the time to look through! Stocked up on popcorn for those movies, watched the sun set over the mosque, and stopped in at the Australia Day celebrations at Le Meridian hotel. Didn't really meet anyone our age, but we did get to sing along with some Aussie tunes. One day of classes, and my soul's still at peace. So far, so good.
