A Different Day

This morning on the shuttle, I told Nicole that something interesting was going to happen and it would be a good day. Maybe it's the fact that it's Sunday AND the second day of an identical schedule of classes AND the beginning of a new week after a one-day weekend have left me disoriented...I don't know. The day just felt different.

Turns out I was right; a few hours later I got an email saying that the Executive Director and Chairmen of the Board of United World Colleges International are in Abu Dhabi this week and want to meet with all the UWC alumni on Tuesday! Aside from the fact that I'm always happy to maintain the UWC cult and proselytize NYU Abu Dhabi, I'm eager to hear these men's perspective on the unity and functionality of United World College in Mostar, and of course the UWC movement in general. There are about 8 or 9 UWCers here in Sama Tower and judging by the number of times we ended up at the same dinner tables during Marhaba week, I'd say we're almost magnetically attracted to each other. Now if only I can get as excited about my Arabic homework as I am for Tuesday's dinner...
